The challenge is that these platforms can vary from one manufacturer and model to another. So, an HP Chromebook might not receive the same level of support as one from Lenovo, and vice versa. To determine the duration of support for your laptop, you can check your Chromebook model on Google’s Help Center website. For instance, the HP Elite Dragonfly Chromebook will continue to receive security patches until June 2032, provided you accept Google’s offer. On the other hand, the HP Chromebook G2’s security updates will last until June 2028 if you opt in. If you choose not to accept the offer, Google assures that its products still come equipped with robust built-in security features to safeguard user data.
